What is Neurodevelopmental and Genetic Disorders?
Neurodevelopmental Disorders: impairments of the growth and development of the brain or central nervous system. A narrower use of the term refers to a disorder of brain function that affects emotion, learning ability, self-control and memory and that unfolds as the individual grows. The term is sometimes erroneously used as an exclusive synonym for autism and autism spectrum disorders. (1)
Genetic Disorders: a genetic problem caused by one or more abnormalities in the genome, especially a condition that is present from birth (congenital). Most genetic disorders are quite rare and affect one person in every several thousands or millions.(2)

This is Our Story
The story of THE TYIGEE FOUNDATION “Young Individuals Given Exceptional Evaluations ” began with one little girl with severe medical issues. Tyi’Gee’s parents were determined to help their child make improvements with all the problems they had to undergo. At times, many of Tyi’Gee’s doctors seem disinterested to her parents. Many of the doctor’s that Tyi’Gee seen seem to think that she would never crawl, walk or talk. Tyi’Gee began to see many different doctors at a very young age; many times her parents would listen to what the doctor’s had to say and walk out the door in tears, many times the parents would challenge the doctors decisions on the care of their daughter but the one thing that Tyi’Gee’s parents would never do is give up. Per mother “ Tyi’Gee is the light in my life, she motivates me and gives me the strength and drive to keep going when I’m sad an I look at her little face all I can do is smile, when I’m with Tyi’Gee anything that is going wrong I can just look at her and it seems like everything is okay. It’s like God sent this Angel to me from heaven to show me or teach me something that I need to understand’ in my eyes Tyi’Gee is a blessing and without her in my life I just could not image it. One night while Tyi’Gee was hospitalized her mother wrote her name on a piece of paper and came of with this foundation.
The TYIGEE FOUNDATION was created so parents and children would have a place to turn to when that doctor says I don’t know what else to do, your child want ever, we can’t do anything else, your insurance want pay any more because of slow progress, this organization was created to help parents and children search for resources all over the world
